Christopher Collins

Chris is a founding Principal of Clear Bay Capital Group where he focuses on sourcing new investment opportunities and building capital partnerships. Clear Bay Capital Group is a real estate impact investment organization with a dedicated focus on the strategic acquisition and transformative repositioning of distressed real estate assets.

Prior to founding Clear Bay Capital, Chris worked at Starwood Capital Group where he helped manage a +$8.0B distressed private equity real estate fund that invested across a diverse range of product types. He worked closely with senior management to optimize portfolio returns and evaluate risk related to debt, foreign exchange, and portfolio composition.

Chris also worked for several years at a boutique private equity real estate firm in NYC actively managing a +$2.0B real estate portfolio that included hospitality, industrial, multifamily, and office assets around the country, primarily sourcing capital from foreign investors in the Middle East and Asia.

Beyond Clear Bay Capital, Chris also currently serves in a leadership position within the following non-profit organizations:

  • People Incorporated—Board Member Class of 2024:  The largest nonprofit mental health provider in Minnesota. For over 50 years, they have been a leading community partner, supporting mental health, and wellness through collaboration and integration of care.

  • RobinHood.org—Founding Member of Rising Leaders Collective:  Robin Hood funds and advocates for solutions that create permanent pathways out of poverty. In 2023, Robinhood invested $118M into NYC’s most innovative poverty-fighting solutions.

  • Broad River Church—Board Member:  BRC is a fast growing nondenominational multi-locational church in Connecticut.

Chris graduated from Lehigh University and was a member of the NCAA Division I Men’s Tennis team.
